A three hour bus ride brought us to Erfurt where Luther became a monk! First we had a walking tour which about did some of us in - warm weather, cobblestone sidewalks, fast-paced guide and lack of benches to rest upon!! However, we preserved and made it through!
Of course I spotted the library!

The land of white, fancy curtains

A touch of Methodist in Luther territory

A treasure trove - I like the hanging signs and have many photos of them!

A unique building

Buildings on market square
No time to rest when we finished the walking tour - off to the cathedral for a tour!
Yes, the are two Catholic churches side by side. We only went in one.

Then have about 45 minutes to grab a quick lunch before getting back on bus to go to hotel. An hour's rest before heading back to center of town to have a guided tour of the Augustinian Monastery which ended with a short service led by Pastor Brad.

Then once again, we walked!! Yes, we did to this restaurant for a fantastic meal - I forgot to take photos of the food!

Guess what we did next? Yes, we walked!! Back to the bus where we were able to capture this photo:
